Montreal City councilman Bert Ward was photographed playing online poker during a city council meeting.

Have you ever gotten carried away in a game of Solitaire or perhaps the world's boredom destroyer, Minesweeper, during your work hours? This happens to the best of us, no need to be ashamed. But last Monday, a Canadian Councilman decided to go on a more serious route with his gaming during work.

Bert Ward, a Montreal City councilman, was photographed by the Journal de Montreal playing Online Poker during a city council meeting. The meeting itself and the activity of Montreal's City Council was already quite laden following the arrest of the City's interim Mayor since November of last year, Michael Applebaum, who was charged with several corruption accusations.

Ward, a senior municipal councilor operating in the name of Montreal's Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough for the last 23 years, later assured the Journal de Montreal paper that his attention went wandering only for a few minutes.
