Online Casino Bonuses & Promotions 2026

Online casino bonuses are not new to the casino industry. Before the days of online casinos, land-based casinos offered bonuses to those playing at their casinos. Now, online casinos are created to reward players and entertain them, and bonuses are a great way to do precisely that. It's important to understand that not all online casino bonuses are created equally. Understanding what a bonus entails means reading the terms and conditions before jumping head first into claiming what appears to be a special offer. Understand bonuses terms and conditions More than just a way to provide more information about an offer that's running, the T&Cs will shed light on the most critical aspects of a bonus. These points could affect how you play or claim the bonus at all. Read through the terms and conditions to determine how much your deposit will be matched when claiming a deposit match bonus. You'll also learn about wagering requirements and what you'll need to do before you can make a withdrawal from your account.  Is there a minimum deposit required to claim the offer up for grabs?  Is there a time restriction in place for when you need to cash in your free spins?  Which games are available when using your free spins bonus? Do you need a promo code to claim the bonus when making a deposit? Are there restrictions on which payment methods you can use? You can answer these questions by making sure you understand the terms and conditions. The T&Cs should be easily accessible and fully visible to all players. If you find you still have questions, reach out to customer service and make sure that you're playing with confidence. What about wagering requirements? Wager requirements play a huge role when considering an online casino bonus. If you play without considering the implication of the wagering requirements, you may find yourself very disappointed. If an offer has a sizeable sign-up bonus with free spins and big rewards, but the wagering requirements are too high, you could find yourself with nothing left to w

Online Poker Sites Reviews and Ratings for 2026

Playing poker online gives you have access to a greater variety of poker-based games and can extend your range and skills. In addition, you will have access to playing hundreds of game versions online that you might not encounter elsewhere. It is fun and can also be beneficial and help you improve in the main game. The History of Online Poker In 1994, the first free poker online game was available in the form of text-based IRC poker. The first real money poker game was a card room game in 1998, and the game has soared in popularity ever since that day. Poker sites like Paradise Poker, PartyPoker, PokerStars and UltimateBet were some of the first poker sites launched.  Between 2002 and 2006, Party Poker dominated the market. It amounted to new online poker rooms exploding on online platforms, but it was eventually shut down in 2006 by the UIGEA in the US.  The biggest cash game pot in online poker history (up that point) was in 2009 and was played on Full Tilt Poker by Viktor Blom and Patrik Antonius. In 2011, a Black Friday event occurred, where the FBI seized domains of Absolute Poker, Full Tilt Poker, and PokerStars. The first state-regulated online poker game emerged in 2012. It was available in Nevada and Delaware in the US, and PokerStars became the largest publicly traded company in the online poker industry in 2014 with a takeover bid of $4.9 billion. From 2017 to 2021, mobile poker betting became popular, and today you will find some of the world's best betting platforms online.  Playing Poker Online Online poker is exactly like the traditional card game poker but played over the Internet. Many online poker sites offer different poker variations with a wide range of games and stakes available and many free online poker games to practice. You will find everything from Texas Hold 'em and stud poker to the ever-popular five-card draw. In addition, there are virtual and live dealer options, which allow you to take a chance against the computer or compete with professional dealers in authentic, high-stakes

Cyber Security Attack on Canadian Casino Software Provider

With the growing value of the online gambling sector, especially with the addition of Bitcoin casinos, it comes as no surprise that cybersecurity attacks continue to pepper the industry in the hopes of finding a lucrative weak spot. Toronto-Based Software Provider Hit While most igaming-focused hacks have attempted to gain access to the databases and financial backends of online casinos, crypto casinos, and sportsbooks, the attack on August 16 had a unique target: the Bragg Gaming Group, a casino software provider. A report on the incident was posted to the provider's website outlining the details of the case as it stands: 1. When was the cyberattack discovered? On Saturday morning, 16 August 2025, the company was made aware of an attempt by an external party to access its “internal computer environment”. 2. When did the cyberattack take place? The attack is believed to have occurred only minutes before the company became aware of the attempt.  3. What information was exposed by the hack? No customer or internal personal information was accessed as the infiltration was noticed and stopped before it could get further than the “internal computer environment”. 4. What action has the Bragg Group taken? The company engaged the services of independent cybersecurity experts who found that the would-be intruder was using “what appeared to be legitimate credentials”. The intrusion was limited to non-harmful parts of the company servers; no sensitive data has been accessed or locked off (for blackmail), and the company’s security has been enhanced to stave off further intrusions. 5. Has anyone taken accountability for the hack? At the time of writing, no group has claimed responsibility for the attempted breach of the company’s server environment. There are also no tracks left behind that point to any known cybersecurity threat. Recent High-Value Gambling-Related Hacks While the potential financial impact of a successful Bragg Gaming Group hack is unknown, here are three hacks that resulted in significant

Do I Take My Loonies to the Casino

The Canadian economy is strong, and the beloved loonie is performing well on the Forex markets, but what does this mean for those of us in the online gaming world? We all know that many casinos offer game play in Canadian dollars, but they also offer play in US dollars, Euros, and British pounds; how are we to decide which currency to play? Do we stick with our own, or use our neighbor's US dollars? This question is trickier now than it ever has been. In September, 2007, the Canadian dollar hit parity with the US dollar, and has remained in a fairly narrow range (0.94 to 1.07) since then. These are historic highs; for most of the 1990s, the loonie only traded for 62 to 65 US cents. The historical trend The currency values began to change (or to adjust, depending on your point of view), in 2003. During the first half of that year, the exchange rate rose until one Canadian dollar was worth 0.75 US. With a few fluctuations, that rise continued for the next three years, until it hit parity and, seemingly, plateaued. Looking back, it seems obvious that the slow weakening of the US currency was related to the US economy's current troubles; the dollar weakened across the board, and is only now beginning to stop its drop. At the same time, the Canadian economy has performed well, making the loonie relatively stronger against the greenback. What does this mean for an online gamer? Ten years ago, that would be an easy question to answer: we'd have had the bank change our money to greenbacks, played in greenbacks, and switched back to loonies after hitting a win and withdrawing our funds. Now, the question isn't so easy. Food for thought For starters, the rates are slightly more volatile these days. If you play in US dollars, you might get a rate of 0.96 when you deposit, but only 0.94 when you withdraw three days later. In addition, there are fees to convert currencies. Playing in Canadian dollars avoids those problems, but also limits the number of casinos available. While many online casinos will offer game play in Canad

Canadian Online Betting Limit to Rise

British Columbia residents will soon get the chance to bet thousands of dollars each week on sports, online games and the lottery following a decision to expand a provincial gambling Website. The British Columbia Lottery Corp. announced on Thursday its decision to raise the weekly limit on its gambling Website from C$120 (US$111) to nearly C$10,000 (US$92,500) by the year 2014.The Website sells lottery tickets and allows bets on sports and on games such as bingo and poker.British Columbia Lottery Corp. president Michael Graydon said research showed that players should be permitted to set their own limits. "We felt that it was important to put a ceiling on that, but really the premise and the outcome of the research was we're in the best shape to be able to let the players set their own limits," he said. "It gives them the opportunity, based on their own economics, to be able to set what they'd like to do."Blackjack, roulette, poker and other games will be available from March 2010 on the corporation's PlayNow Website. The move has been met with criticism from opposition politicians, with Shane Simpson of the New Democrat Party calling the decision "unacceptable.""This has been done with no consultation, as I can see, with people who are concerned about problem gambling," he said. But Graydon has defended the move, pointing out that it could now tap into the approximately C$87 million British Columbians spend on foreign gambling Websites, "rather than it all going offshore to places like Antigua."

Study: Canadians Support Online Gambling

A majority of Canadians are supportive of legalizing online casinos, while around half of their counterparts across the border are in agreement, a new study has shown. The study, conducted by Canadian market research firm Ipsos Reid, found that 55 percent of Canadians and 49 percent of Americans were willing to allow Internet gambling as long as it was accompanied by government regulations. This marked a shift in support since the last survey in 2007, in which 48 percent of Canadians and 46 percent of Americans supported legalized online gambling. Unsurprisingly, American respondents to the latest poll were less trusting of their federal government than the Canadian respondents. Forty five percent of Americans said individual states should deal with the regulation of online gaming, compared to 33 percent of Canadians saying it should be dealt by their individual provinces. The survey also found that fewer people in both countries were aware of the fact that online gambling was actually outlawed. Some 23 percent of Canadians said they knew online gambling was illegal, down from 28 percent in 2007. There was slightly more awareness of the laws in the United States, where 37 percent of respondents said they were aware, but that was still down from 41 percent three years earlier. The online study polled more than 1,000 Canadians and 1,000 Americans. Meanwhile, HeadsUp Entertainment International announced last week that it is negotiating with one of the world's biggest poker companies to buy the Canadian Poker Tour or to at least rebrand it. HeadsUp's management believes that Canada has the second biggest online poker market in the world, behind only the United Kingdom.

Big Prizes Continue at WSOP

The big prizes continue to be awarded at the 2010 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, with 23 of the 57 tournaments now completed in world poker's biggest event. In the biggest tournament of the past week, poker pro Jason DeWitt beat out 791 other competitors to win the $818,959 first prize in the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em tourney. Other big names to win tournaments were Erich Buchman, Carter Phillips and John Barch. On a more controversial note, WSOP Communications Director Seth Palansky told online poker site Card Player that men who entered the $1,000 No Limit Ladies Hold'em Championship (eventually won by Vanessa Hellebuyck) could be suspended or banned from future WSOP events. At least half-a-dozen men played in the ladies tournament, an act they could not be legally prevented from doing. "We can't prevent anyone from entering a ladies tournament. If they're scumbags, they're scumbags," Palansky told Card Player. "The good news is at the World Series of Poker, we have the right to refuse service to anyone at any time at any point that we deem, as operators of the event." Meanwhile, Oscar winners Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have confirmed they will once again participate in the annual WSOP Ante up for Africa charity tournament, which will take place on July 3.

Coming Soon: Online Gaming for Ontario

The recent signing of an agreement between the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) will lead to a new regulatory framework under which the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) will launch online gaming later this year. On offer to Ontario players will be online lottery tickets, instant tickets, interactive casino games and peer-to-peer online poker. The AGCO is responsible for regulating gaming in Ontario and upholds the requirements of the Gaming Control Act 1992. This new arrangement between the AGCO and AGCC will see greater exchange of information and cooperation during investigations and inspections. Additionally new initiatives will be developed in the areas of common standards, requirements, testing protocols and other matters that will enhance integrity, consumer protection, public confidence and anti-crime measures. This is just the latest agreement in a string of recent collaborations between various jurisdictions around the world. One of the latest, for example, was a bilateral cooperation agreement between the Jersey Gambling Commission and the Danish Gambling Authority and the the AGCC has already entered into cooperation agreements with regulators in Denmark, Nevada, Kahnawake and now Ontario. The objective of this new framework is to promote social responsibility and ensure that players are protected through enforcing a level of honesty and integrity in the online gaming operators. At this stage, it is thought that the new online gaming will be launched by OLG at the end of this year – a full 18 months after the first announcement of plans to launch the service in Ontario.
