Joyland Casino Jackpot Less Huge

Progressive jackpot winner leaves with "only" $2.3 million.
By | May 18, 2009

Would $2.3 million leave a sour taste in your mouth? Not at all, right? Well, think again.

Back in august, French-Canadian Sylvia P had won the progressive jackpot playing the Beach Life Jackpot on Joyland Casino, powered by Playtech software. The sum was an astounding $4,188,719.98.

However, at the time of playing (and winning), the casino terms and conditions allowed for maximum payout of $9,000 per month, regardless the size of the jackpot. Unwilling to wait that long, Sylvia agreed to a one-time payout of about half the sum - $2.3 million.

Understandably, this has raised some furor among players and auditors. Although written, the T&C's have left a sour taste in people's mouths.

Will it stop Sylvia from fulfilling all her plans and remain with some change? Absolutely! Sylvia said at the time of winning: "The only priority is to buy a house and give to my two children new furniture and what in the past I was not able to give them."

This she can do. And this all of you can do. But please, do read the Terms and conditions to avoid uncalled for frustration.
